Forensic test and Lie detector test are entirely different from each other, both in purpose and functioning. A lie detector test or a polygraph uses a lie detector that measures and records various physiological responses such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration and skin conductivity, while a subject is asked a series of questions. The subject's false answers produce distinctive measurements. Whereas a forensic test, tests the physical components of the subject, such as saliva for drugs, explosive detection etc.
