Is Salmonella Contageous?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Not unless you are doing something we all would prefer to not hear about. Salmonella is a bacterium that is contracted from food and gets into the intestinal tract where it then propagates. Usually onset is 48-72 hours after ingestion. Not usually fatal except for those with poor immune systems.
