I Had A Stray Cat That Had Kittens Under My Porch Two Weeks Ago And All The Kittens Are Filled With Fleas, Is There Anything I Can Buy At The Store That I Can Use On 2 Week Old Kittens?

I am new to Blurtit and would like to ask questions but I am not sure how to fill in the ask question section on the site itself.

If you can manage it (depending on how old you are, and how friendly the mother cat is), the best thing to do would be to call around your area to find a 'no-kill' shelter, and take the mother and her kittens to them to take care of. At only two weeks, treating an infestation at arm's length, as it were, is likely to be problematic.

Also, the kittens could be infested with parasites other than fleas, some of which can prove lethal to the young animals very quickly (I'm not going to go into detail because it's pretty gross, but I've witnessed it first-hand and if I can help even one kitten avoid the same fate I want to try).

The people at the shelter will give the mother cat and kittens veterinary care (including vaccinations) and socialize the kittens so that they have a better chance at a happy, long life, and then make sure that they find suitable homes (for the mother, too). Did you know that outdoor cats typically live less than five years, while indoor cats may live twenty years or more?

Good luck...I hope that you can find a way to give your little family a chance at a better life.
