Why Have Application Protocols?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Protocols are a set of rules the application must conform to in order to work in a certain environment. If you've heard of TCP/IP, that is actually a protocol for computers to talk to each other on a network, so each device must conform to certain standards or else it will not work correctly, or work at all.
