I Have A Small Kitten With A Horse Fly Larvae In The Top Of Her Head. How Can I Remove It Safely?
The kitten is about 4 weeks old and has been outside . I found her yesterday and she seems to be in bad shape. I can see the larvae moving in the hole in the top of her head. It looks like it is just under the skin on her head beside her ear.

I have heard of people putting vaseline on the spot and just around it. It causes the larvae to smother and either climb out or die...the cats body should absorb the problem if it dies in there. I have also heard that nail polish does the same thing. i would personally try the vaseline first.
