How To Give A Puppy An Injection?

Answer Question

You need to have your vet show you. You say injection, there is Sub Q, IM, IV............ You didn't say which. Have your vet make sure whatever it is you're wanting to give is right and how to do it. There is only one of those that isn't as likely to cause serious damage to a pet. You don't just randomly inject dogs with things when you don't know how or where they go (or if it's safe or right). Have someone show you (or is it in the instructions). ;-) P.S. If it a vaccination some dogs react very badly sometimes and can need emergency treatment AND keep it in the fridge until you can check everything out and have someone show you because 20 minutes at room temp. And you might as well be injecting water. It will do nothing. That's why knowing what you're doing is important.

You have to know what kind of injection it is. Different sorts of injections are given in different spots. Ask your vet.
