    The Arpeggione is a fretted and tuned like a guitar, but it bowed like a cello. It is a six stringed musical instrument. Since the Arpeggione is bowed like a cello it is very similar to the bass viola da gamba.

    The Arpeggione after its invention was very famous for a decade or so, it was invented some time in the year 1823. it was invented by the Viennese guitar maker called Johann Georg Staufer.
