Internet is a portal that has immense potential for those who want to gain knowledge. But misusing it has devastating effects especially on the students. Students are getting away from their books due to internet for a number of reason. First of all Internet provides them with all the knowledge they need, so they do not want to waste their time on books which are more expensive. Secondly, It offers a wide variety of activities for students like chatting, playing games, downloading songs and movies, so they dont get much time to read books.

I am a college student and I know that a lot of people spend a lot of time on the internet. But honestly whose fault is it? Students didn't invent the internet. Why wouldn't we use it? It's helpful and less time consuming. Maybe if the way colleges were changed we wouldn't be on the internet all the time. I have so much reading assigned to me that its impossible to read it all and believe me I've tried. And when I do read it all I never understand what I'm reading because there's so much it just gets jumbled together. Student's do use the internet too much, but it makes college a little less stressful, college is hard enough...
