What Bass Guitar Can I Buy?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Buying a Bass guitar depends on the style of music you choose to play. If you are heavily into Jazz or Blues you can opt for a Fender Jazz bass. The Fender Jazz was introduced in the year 1960. The neck of the guitar is made of Maple. The Fret Board of the bass is made up of Rosewood, Pao Ferro or Maple.

The bass is equipped with a two dipole bickups which are connected in parallel. If your choice of music is heavy or thrash then you could opt for a Jackson Bass guitar. The Jackson C5-A concert 5 string bass guitar is just the thing. The guitar has a very good finish and insane sound which you can only achieve with a 5 string bass.

The bass guitar you should buy should be exactly that; the one that suits YOU and the one you should feel most comfortable playing. There are a whole flurry of different makes and models available and even for the experienced player choosing one can be a daunting experience!  For any player existing or prospective, the best thing to do would be to hit some local music shops and try and get a good feel of what different models there are, and who's offering the best deals. If you can also, taking an experienced bassist (or even guitar player) will really help things along and help ease things in the daunting World that's known as the music shop!

When you start to narrow down some possible choices, just kindly ask if you can try it out; does it feel comfortable to play, sitting down and standing up? Does it give a nice usuable sound? The shop assistant will probably help you along and give you some good suggestions as to which is better than what if you aren't sure, but in the end if you find a particular bass that stretches your budget a little bit more than you'd like but you really have your heart set on it, then in the long run you will thank yourself as it will save the heartache and frustration of having to live with something you weren't so taken with!
