How To Prepare For A Placement In B.tech?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

B.Tech, B.E, or BSc. Engineering are degrees offered by various engineering schools in India. B.Tech. Degree is primarily offered by the Indian Institute of Engineering (IITs). One starts on this degree after completing the class twelve in the Indian system or the 'A' levels if one is pursuing the IB curriculum. If you wish to join a Bachelor's program in engineering, you should complete your class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as your main subjects and English as a language.

In order to join the IITs for a B.Tech degree, you must compete in a joint entrance examination (IIT-JEE). Candidates from all over India appear for this examination on order to secure a seat and only the best candidates get a chance who scores the highest.

In order to compete for the IIT-JEE, you must start your preparations well in advance because the competition is enormous and only the top 1% manage to get a placement. You must focus on your fundamental understanding in your core subjects mentioned above as most of the questions tend to challenge this. Other than this, you can join a variety of coaching programs such as the Agarwal coaching where they prepare you over many months of coaching materials and tests.

I would suggest you also appear for the regional Engineering college exams too. This is also a centralized testing that is done for placement in the undergraduate engineering degrees offered in the regional engineering colleges. This would increase your chances for securing a placement.
