Why Does A Person In The Space Shuttle 50 Miles Above The Surface Of The Earth Float?
1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating
It is because both the space shuttle and the people in it are in free fall ( does not mean they will crash into earth, it means they accelerate towards the earth while orbiting around it).We can also feel weightless when in an elevator under free fall (when the cables are cut).
