How Are The Relations Between Pakistan And Egypt?

Egypt has held a special significant position since ancient days, because of its civilization and culture. After the foundation of Pakistan, it has established diplomatic and trade relations with Egypt. In 1953, the government of king Farooq was over thrown by a military revolt. Egypt was declared as the United Arab Republic. Jamal AbdulNassir held the reigns of the country. During the early days of his rule, relations between Pakistan and Egypt were not very cardinal, but when the president of Pakistan, General Muhammad Ayub Khan visited Egypt in 1959,most of the misunderstandings were removed and a new chapter was added in the relations between the two countries. These brotherly relations further strengthened with the visit of Jamal Abdul Nassir to Pakistan in 1960.during the Arab Israel war, Pakistan always supported the Arabs and provided technical and material assistance to them. Relations between Egypt and Pakistan were further strengthened because of this .the proof of this stability in relations is that during the second Islamic Summit Conference in1974, the President of Egypt Mr. Anwar Sadat recognized and praised the services which Pakistan had rendered to the Arab cause. It is believed that relations will become stronger in the future.

Pakistan and Egypt always have good relationships with each other. It is due to many factors. And the relationship between Pakistan and Egypt is still very strong. As you know these both countries belong to the Muslim community. So this is the biggest factor in making their relationship strong and long lasting. Then they are inter-connected with each other through many other things like they trade with each other. Then there are certain areas of interest between these two countries. Many Pakistani scholars go to Egypt for studying in Al-Azhar university of Egypt. That is the one of the world's oldest universities. That's why the relations between Pakistan and Egypt are strong and they are becoming stronger day by day.

There is another area of interest that is the resemblance of their cultural and religious customs. Due to these things these countries behave with each other in a very brotherly manner.  

The Orient has recently been part of the prominent international headlines. In the past the world has addressed issues like the Israel-Palestine issue and that of Kashmir. However, today, the east is scrutinized by the media for issues like the Gulf War, terrorism and invasion. One of the important relationships in the fray is that between Pakistan and Egypt. The two nations have more similarities than differences and enjoy camaraderie like no other.

The political and economical ties between the two countries, Pakistan and Egypt, are deep rooted in shared faith and values. This is highlighted by the characteristic commonalities in interests and beliefs. The two nations have adopted a stance to further enhance their mutual cooperation and reach full potential. Pakistan and Egypt play an important role within their regional settings. The increased cooperation between the two nations has resulted in an inherent ability to respond to the common challenges. They are bound by their commonalities and use it for the mutual benefit of their people and economies.
