What Are Three Ways The Giant Saguaro Cactus Has Adapted To Survive In The Desert?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Well, it has a way of not needing so much water.
To get water, the Saguaro has roots that grow out as long as it is tall so that there is a bigger area and a bigger chance of getting the little water it needs.
Reproduction is another. Though the seed is small, one Saguaro cactus can produce ten thousand seeds a year, up to forty million in a lifetime. But out of all those seeds, only a few grow up to adulthood.
