George Lovi was a writer and an Astronomy instructor. He was also a globe designer, creating some of the most precise and beautiful globes in the world. He was known as the "mapper of the stars". He was born in 1939 and died in 1993 and spent most of his life studying astronomy and planet Earth. With such a wide knowledge of the Planet Earth, he was able to design a precise model of the Earth. A model that is identical to the actual Earth. With precision, guidance, and patience he was able to create a model of the planet Earth like no one before him had ever done. Today, many of his models are still used to create some of the most precise and the most beautiful globes available. The globes that he designs give the looker an exact picture of what the planet Earth really looks like. Globes make beautiful gifts that not only add beauty to the home, but also offer an educational opportunity for anyone looking at the globe inspired and designed by George Lovi.
