The DVDs I Burn Won't Play On Some Players, What To Do?

I've burned DVDs w/ my PC to copy DVD movies using DVD Shrink & Nero. I've also burned DVDs w/my DVD Player/Burner from my DVR. The resulting DVDs play just beautifully on my computer & many DVD players. However, they don't play at all or skip considerably on some other players. What's up? (The players giving me problems do fine on professional DVDs)

The DVD which are burned with exact dvd format should work on any DVD player. If they are not working on some of the player that means that those DVD player lens is weak or out of order. On the other hand, dvds are not burnt correctly for some reason. Try burning the dvd with correct dvd video burning format.

The 2 players that didn't work were older players. I mean made longer ago. Another was brand new when I tried several years ago, but didn't have as much scanning ability as the player I replace it with. Would that explain the problem?

I'm confused. Are you saying the cheaper DVD players do play burnt Dvds, or the opposite? And which is classified as a VCD. The ones I burn on my computer? Or the ones purchased in the store? Or something else entirely?
