Top Sportsmen Are Paid Highly And Are Overrated. Is This True?

Yes they are paid alot,,,but if they wasn't getting paid  then all the revenue from the teams would just go into some rich old mans pocket that owns the team..at least when these guys get paid the wealth is spread around more and then these guys being rich themselves might put their money into helping others

This is an opinion question.  You are welcomed to think that they are overpaid.  Someone else is welcomed to think otherwise.

Consider this with baseball players, though: The season lasts for 162 games.  They are allowed one day off in every 22 or so (non-game days still carry obligations they must meet; don't be fooled).  They have to travel constantly, often across time zones, sometimes with little sleep.  Then they have to deal with reporters and the like, and all the probing into their private lives so they can bring you entertainment almost daily during the season.

Then, in the off-season, they have to keep a strict workout regimen to remain competitive and not lose out to a younger, possibly faster replacement.

Considering those factors, I think many athletes think its a fair trade-off.
