My Puppy Has Mucus And A Glaze Look To Her Eyes. What's Wrong?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The mucous may be related to conjunctivitis--this is a superficial infection of the eye.  Usually conjunctivitis produces redness of the eye, sometimes swelling of the eyelids, and green or yellow mucous discharge.  The glazed look may be from the conjunctivitis or could indicate your puppy is feeling general malaise, pain, or discomfort.  Your puppy should be examined by a veterinarian to confirm the diagnosis and start appropriate treatment.
