How Do I Alter The Options For My CDs And DVDs On My EMac?

Click on the apple icon in the top left of the screen and then click 'System Preferences'. Under 'Hardware', click on 'CDs & DVDs'. A pop-up menu will appear.

These options allow you to make various changes. For example, on the eMac is a program called iTunes, which will automatically open when you insert a music CD. In the pop-up menu, you can choose to have another application open up when you insert a CD rather than iTunes. This is the same with iPhoto, which automatically opens up whenever you insert a picture CD.

You can choose whether or not you want to be asked what to do when you insert a DVD or CD, or you can choose the application which you want to automatically open up when a DVD or CD is inserted.
