Why Is Human Cloning A Bad Thing?
Do you think that people should be cloned if they don't think it is safe and why? <3 Aaliyah

I truly believe that Human cloning is a bad thing. It is a disgrace to God and His created Mankind. It can be considered as an intervention in God's natural processes. Also There is no need for human replicas when we already have a super growth rate of population.

Is it ok to answer that question with a question? When we start cloning humans.. How does that affect weather or not one has a soul.. will they be creating soulless beings? Far be it from me to scream the word antichrist here.. but it is a perplexing thought...
You're blowing things way out of proportion. No humans have, as yet, been cloned, and the concept of cloning is not meant to create a population of human replicas.
Human replicas have already been done and some presidents have already been replaced many people have blown the whistle on this: http://projectcamelot.org/george_green.html
Human cloning apparently has already been done and 8 countries are carrying this out!
Go to http://projectcamelot.org for full inside stories. It might seem really far fetched and crazy but I believe so much stuff is going on that we don't have a clue about.. we all think yeah right as if this stuff really happens but if we all walk around ignorant the world will stay the same and negativity will take over. We all need to wake up and think for ourselves rather than blinding believing what the media or governments tell us. As its all propaganda. If you look back in the past it was all about power and money and controlling the people nothing has changed. We all need to face up to our responsibility for the existence of the human race. We need to understand the universal law of attraction and help to create harmony amongst men.
Peace!

I believe that each one of us are created with a soul which only god can create and for us to even try to it do is wrong we should spend our money on creating more jobs any worry free day care and kids who only get to eat at school for girls who have nowhere to turn we need to take care of what we have

I don't believe we should create new problems. What if the clones don't turn out just right? If they show up with 1 leg, or a heart problem or some other defect, who is going to take care of them and pay for treatment? It will be you and I as taxpayers. Also it is God's place to create humans.

So far no humans have been cloned. Everyone here is getting way ahead of themselves and blowing things way out of proportion. The intent of human cloning, which, as yet, has not happened, is not meant to create a population of human clones!
Before I continue, why would it not be possible for a human clone to have a soul? If the clone were an exact replica of a person, would it not have the same mind and the ability to think? Why do you suppose it would be G-dless and soul-less? Just chew on that for a while.
Cloning research is being conducted with the idea of making things better for mankind. It is with the hope of being able to combat disease and to repair damage to the human body. If human cloning ever comes to fruition it would not be without some sort of regulation. The scientifc community along with government will be sure to oversee and control the process. We are not talking about mad scientists and Frankenstein monsters. We are not talking about anti-christs or creating humans.
Not everyone shares the religious views that have been expressed here. If we did, science would never be permitted to make any progress. I, for one, would welcome the chance to be free of my diabetes and leukemia. It is my hope that someday humanity won't have to suffer from such afflictions because cloning would be able to repair our bodies. I would be happy to see human suffering alleviated as a result of cloning.

You bring up some of the better points for cloning, however :evil giggle: the idea of govt. regulation isn't one that actually makes me feel any better about it..in fact it probably is what scares me the most.. My question about souls though was not merely to bring up the religion card.. but truly curiosity.. the idea of cloning a person for spare parts (which may be only a wrong understanding on my part) is a bit disturbing.. will the clone have the same rights as any other living person? will clones become the next group that will have civil rights activists up in arms??? There are so many questions.. And yes in history many times Religion has stood in the way of progress.. many who were right were tried as heretics... To ever reach any positive conclusion I think in some situations such as this one.. Both sides need to be weighed carefully.. I think we have learned through history that a good idea can be twisted to become the next heinous disaster.. and seemingly bad ideas can be the next great thing.. Whose to call this one.. to wipe out disease and to prolong life.. seems like a great idea.. but it leads to more questions that would make great debates.. Like SHOULD we prolong life.. what would that do to the population and all the affects thereof?? This would be a very interesting debate topic...
I was thinking more of cloning the parts needed to prolong life or repair a body rather than a population of cloned human beings. I can't say that creating a race of clones is really a practical idea. Wouldn't it be wonderful to be able to clone a heart so all those waiting for donor hearts wouldn't have to suffer. I would be so happy if a new pancreas could be cloned for me so I would no longer have to monitor my blood sugar and give myself insulin injections everyday. I think many people are getting ahead of themselves, and it's preventing them from seeing a bigger picture.
I dont think cloning is such a bad thing . Sometimes people cant have babies and maybe they want to have twins or something ,

But, why would they need twins? And besides, it would be a twin of one of them, it would not be twins of both of their DNA involved, and it would be only one baby twin. Also the amount of eggs it takes to get a successful embryo, and then getting it successfully implanted into the womb of the woman to give birth. Not to mention 9 months of wondering if the clone will actually be born. And if it does, finding out what kind of health problems that the cloned baby would have. And hoping the baby will live for along time, not just 2 years or less. It would be much better to adopt, and less expensive, as well as more moral. And not to mention that adopting would help the kid that is adopted have a better life. Especially adopting one from a third-world country, where they are not always treated right, or they have very little to eat or drink. Those kids need to be taken care of far before we would need to try and take care of clones.
Why do people forget about adopting children as a choice? How many children are in orphanages all over the world that need to have a good mother and father to take care of them? God made it so that a child should have a mother and a father to take care of them, and those kids in the orphanages are there waiting for a mother and father to adopt them.
