If the landlord was found to have accepted rent payment and still evicted, can i go to small claims court and get my money back?

It depends upon the situation. Why the landlord evicted you? What were the reasons?. All the things depend upon your lease agreement. You should first read it carefully and then talk to your lawyer for legal advice on it.
