Know your material.  Confidence comes from being prepared.  Take some deep breaths before you start your presentation and look around the room at your  audience with a confident gaze, acknowledging everyone there with some form of eye contact.  Hold your head high and think to yourself, "These people are lucky to have me making this presentation to them.  I am prepared and I have information to share that will be important for them to hear."

Excellent comments. Know your subject better than anyone else in the room.

Try to keep in mind that when you stand up to do your presentaton, the people are not staring at you to make you feel fearful, they are actually interested in what you are going to tell them.  Stay positive that the presentation that you are about to give is a really good one, and that you're going to speak clearly and confidently about the subject.  Stand up straight and tall (this will also make you feel like you can keep your audience's attention, because if you slouch, the body language there will tell your audience that you're not too confident about what you're about to say).  Before you begin to talk, take a deep breath, shoulders back and go for it!  If you need to focus your eyes off your audience, look directly into the middle of the back of the room, looking randomly at the people, but not long enough to actually "see" them.
I wish you the best of luck with this!  I know you'd do absolutely great!

I have found in my experience that just about everyone else is as nervous as you are when they have to present, and knowing that helps.  Be prepared and be determined to try your best.  Each time it will get a little better.  Good luck!
