How Do I Create A Biome?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The various ecological systems that are inhabited by various living organisms are called biomes. The prominent biomes include the deserts, the prairies, the Mediterranean, the mountains, the tundra, seas, lakes and rivers, caves, swamps, the arctic areas, temperate zones, rain forest etc.

The temperature and topography in biomes will differ. The type of organisms that will survive in a desert may not be able to survive in the arctic areas. Biomes often retain names that are given by the locals ~ Tundra, Prairie, Outback, Savannah, Steppes etc. These biomes are naturally occurring environments and cannot be created or simulated by man on the scale in which they currently exist. Certain greenhouse experiments can be conducted to create a highly miniaturized version of the original. Scientists have tried to analyze the feasibility of transferring an animal living in a biome into another biome. Unsurprisingly the animals have failed to adapt. Countries that contain biomes have taken proactive steps to ensure the preservation of their biomes for generations to come.
