Is There A Certain Amount Of Money I Should Spend On A Gift For My Boyfriend/girlfriend?

This is delicate matter. While money should not technically be an object, it most likely will be, especially if you give a gift that is noticeably cheap. Any gift that you give should, at the very least, reflect the level of relationship you have with the other person. If you just started dating, you are not obligated to spend a great deal of money, but you should put some thought into the matter and buy a gift that is a reflection of what you are feeling, as it will be interpreted that way regardless of what your intention is. If you have been together with someone for a long time, and are secure in the relationship, you may want to spent a little extra money on a gift or invest your time in making something unique – not because you are obligated to, but it will make the other person feel special knowing that you had to sacrifice something important to give a gift that holds special meaning.

Not really. A gift for someone shouldn't be about the amount of money that it has cost, but what it means to you as the giver, and what it means to the recipient. Rather than checking your bank balance, look to see what would be truly appreciated.

You know, you often times hear...Its the thought that counts, right. Which is true. But if your relationship is new, don't go all out the way, just yet. But again, don't be cheap...For example: A nice shirt or maybe a tie...Something like that.....But if ya'll have been dating for a while, then you know it is definently okay to go all out the way, price shouldn't be an object, especially if you have a J-O-B!!! Gifts come from the heart and if you put all your time and effort into that gift, it will show....And in the end, it won't matter how much you paid for it.
