What Is The Climate Of Greenland?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Greenland is popularly known to be a place of darkness and cold, and to some extent it is true. But there is light also in aplenty in some parts. The summer hours in Greenland are more in number than anywhere else downs the south. Greenland can not be called a place to get suntanned as here only your face and neck can get the shade of beauty that is brown.

The climate here is quite dry and that makes the same temperature feel different from parts of Europe. In Greenland 10-15 degree Celsius is considered to be quite warm while -10 will give you a pleasant feeling.

Recently researchers came out with a report that the glacier in Greenland is melting quite fast and it is almost double of what it was five years ago. With the monitoring of weather at a place it was found that the average temperature in winter had risen about 10 degrees.
