How Do You Carry Out An Aptitude Test?

Aptitude tests are standardized tests used to measure specific intellectual capabilities or other characteristics. They usually consist of many different types of questions that bring out the personality of the person giving the test and reveal his interests and aptitude. The idea is to set multiple choice questions, free response questions, practical how to do questions etc and then judge the person based on his answers.

An aptitude test should be set after taking various factors like age, IQ, education etc into consideration in order to ensure its success. But there are certain limitations like stress, environment, deliberate coaching, dishonesty etc that can render the aptitude test useless and unsuccessful. Thus a lot of care and planning goes into the setting and conduction of an aptitude test.
