My Mother Is In A Nursing Home In Michigan And My Sister Has Put A Password On Phone Calls To My Mother. She Has A Few Select People Who Have The Password But 4 Of Her Daughters Do Not, And Cannot Get The Password From Her. Is This Legal For Her (my Sister) To Prohibit Some Of My Mothers Daughters From Talking To Their Own Mother?

I'm sorry that this has happened, it's sounds odd to me that she would even consider this. Why don't you talk to the head honcho there, find out why she has done this, is it something the mother has requested, or the sister. And since you are all sisters from the same mother, then you should all have equal access to your mother.
It sounds devious to me, like she wants to be the only one there so she looks like she's the only one who cares, (the only one that cares, is usually rewarded by the parent).
If you can't get there and talk to the boss in person, you should definately call, and talk to them.
Maybe there can be some sort of change to the password thing so that you can talk to your mother. Again, I'm sorry to hear about this, it's mean, and hurts. Hope this helps you out, and good luck.

What a sad story, NO.... Your sister has no right to do this. Do you not live in Michigan? Can you send your mother a letter explaining this or is she on able to read & understand ? If that is the case call the Hospital and as for the name of your mothers doctor, then you need to write to him and state this can not be good for your mother's well being be shut off from her daughters. Act, now.. Do not let this happen or you will carry the grief if something does happen to your mother. Good lock and God Bless you.
