How To Find Someone's IP Address?
I was scammed out of $800 and need help finding this person. I have called the police, but you know how that goes...if its too hard, it ain't worth it. So I want to do it.

A little background first. IP address allocation is handled by The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA). And the command to find out someone ip is "ipconfig".

Thats not very easy to find the IP address. You won't do it alone by yourself. You need to contact cyber crime department in your city or state. They will contact your Internet service provider to find out that person. Its lengthy process but its possible. You might have to spend more than 800 dollars to find out that person.

I did, finally, find the IP address of the email that was sent to me. I also reverse searched it and got the location of this IP address. I am wondering now if it is possible to find the owner to the IP address and/or the email. Does anyone have any ideas?
