Does A Condom Protect You From All Std's?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Condoms are barriers which are used to avoid pregnancy and provide protection against sexually transmitted diseases. In both conditions, condoms are not 100% effective. In a study it was reported that condoms are effective in protection against STD up to 85%. HIV, gonorrhea, herpes and HPV transmission can be reduced by use of condoms but can not be ruled out 100%. Chances of STD transmission are high due to direct contact with infected partner who is having active lesions and symptoms.
