What Is Hogwarts? Where Is It Situated?

'Hogwarts' was first time introduced to us by J. K. Rowling in the very first chapter of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

Wizards, like Muggles (non-magic people), have schools and institutes to provide their children with Magical Education. The three most famous educational institutes we hear about are Durmstrang, The Beauxbaton Academy and Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Durmstrang, though does not have a good reputation, as it is said, it gives too much attention to the Dark Arts. Hogwarts has always been thought of as the best educational institution and the safest place on Earth. It is true that Hogwarts makes Gringotts (the wizard bank) the second safest place on Earth.  

Hogwarts is situated in the mountains, no one knows where. It has a Muggle-protection charm on it to keep away Muggles. If, in case, a muggle approaches these mountains, he sees a ruin and deep ditches with the sign 'DANGER, DO NOT ENTER, UNSAFE!'
Hogwarts has a great deal of enchantments around it. A person is not capable of Apparating or Disapparating inside or outside Hogwarts. This is one of the reasons Hogwarts is the safest place on Earth. It is actually an enormous castle which has great grounds around it.

Hogwarts is a fictional castle located in Scotland.  The castlefrom the movies is actually a school for historic things such as learning to use swords in fighting. And the book that first introduced it was actually only called "Harry potter and the Philosopher's stone" in Europe. In most of the rest of the world it is "Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone" which is interesting because they both are pretty much the same...

Hogwarts, or the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, is a fictional school in the Harry Potter series where young minds showing signs of magic are assembled and taught magic. Due to security reasons, the exact location of Hogwarts is not displaced. It is impossible to find it as it is protected by many forms of ancient magic.

Yep,it's in Scotland, we know this!  its is mentioned being up north plus the time, it takes to gets there and such , even jk said this.
