I know that this was posted a year ago but i just wanted to answer your question. I just went to the psychiatrist with minimal manic symptoms occurring about once every few months. She recommended a low dose of abiify to treat the mania. We'll see if it works.... But the answer is yes, abilify can work on Axis II/ mood disorders with manic episodes
