    Costa Rica is a very lively member of the United Nations. It joined the United Nations organization on the 2nd of November, 1945. It is also the member of the Organization of the American States and numerous worldwideorganizations relating to democracy nd human rights.

    Its major foreign policy aim is to promote human rights and extensive progress in order to secure stability and growth. It is also a part of the International Criminal Court.
    The other nations that became a member of the United Nations in 1945 were, Lebanon, Ecuador, Egypt, Venezuela, Unite States of America, France, South Africa, New Zealand, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Australia, Colombia, Panama, Peru, Poland, India, Iraq, Greece, Haiti, Bolivia, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, El Salvador, Ethiopia, to name a few.
