When Can Babies Leave Mum?
How old do they have to be, is it 6 or 8 weeks?
Answers
I think it's 8 weeks. When the mum thinks that the baby is now self reliant and she can survive with out her. Then she leaves her. The mum can only take more time than 8 weeks. It depends upon the growth and maturity of the cat.

I would keep kittens with their mom untill you actually see them eating, drinking and using the litterbox on their own regularly usually about 8 weeks.
