The fees - as of 1 March 2006 - for admission to The Tower of London, are as follows:

    Adult: 15.00
Child under 16 years (children under 5 are free): 9.50
    Student concession (id required): 12.00
    Senior citizen (aged 60+): 12.00
Family (up to 2 adults and 3 children): 43.00

All these tickets can be bought at the gate at the above prices. If purchasing admission tickets in advance via telephone or internet there will be an additional transaction fee.

The Tower, which has played a key role in British Royal history for nearly 1,000 years and is home to the famous Crown Jewels, is open to the public all year round with the exception of 24-26 December and 1 January. From 1 March to 31 October, opening hours are 9 am till 6 pm Tuesdays to Saturdays and 10 am till 6 pm Sundays and Mondays, with a last admission time of 5 pm for every day during these months. From 1 November till 28 February the opening times are the same but the Tower closes an hour earlier and the last admission is at 4 pm. It is recommended that you allow 2-3 hours for your visit.
