For right now depending on the size they are a 20 long would be fine, but it won't be later.... A 40 gal for 5 beardies is not big enough once they are all fully grown and a 20 long is decent for a temp home until rehoming them. If these are for pets and are all going to stay then as an adult a 40 gal is a minimum requirement and if one can afford to they should get the bigest tank they can. Its best to start with the 40 gal.breeder cage then you won't have to upgrade you can get them cheap if you compare prices petland has them for 93.99 but you might get it cheaper online
