Where Is Clady, Northern Ireland?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Clady is a tiny village situated in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is exactly placed four miles away from Strabane, on the River Finn along the border with County Donegal. According to the census conducted in the year 2001 the total population was four hundred and twenty three. Whereas in the year 1842 the population was approximately one hundred and seventy six, this village comes under the Strabane District Council.

As per Lewis in 1842, near the village is strong and fine-looking bridge of seven arches placed over the River Finn, this bridge joins Clady to the County Donegal.

The Clady village is said to be one of the oldest in the entire locality, and earlier use to be an important bridging point across the river Finn.
