What Happens When You Have Chickenpox?

At first chickenpox starts just like a cold, we have a runny or may be stuffy nose, sneezing and cough. But after a couple of days the rash begins, usually in bunches of spots on the chest and face. Then it can spread out quickly over the whole body. In some cases the rash even may be in ears and mouth. The number of pox is different in every case. In some people it is just a few bumps but in other cases it is covered from head to toe. In the beginning the rash looks like pinkish dots that develop a small blister quickly.

Within one to two days the fluid in the blisters gets cloudy and the blisters begin to crust over. Chickenpox blisters are showing up in waves and after some time it begins to crust over, and new spots may appear. There will be no signs of new chicken pox till the seventh day. There will be usually 10 to 14 days that are required for all the blisters to be scabbed over and then we are no longer contagious. In some cases of chickenpox there also be a stomachache, a fever and may just not feel well, besides the rash.

Chickenpox is red what looks like pimples all over your body but they usually start behind the ears, some people get worse case than others, my boys both had them at the same time, calamine lotion oatmeal baths and lots of soothing aloe and let them take their course some people get them so bad that have to be put on anti biotic like my youngest son who had them in his mouth on his tongue down his throat the doctor but him on some anti biotic to stop the virus and even though his virus was stopped he never had them again.
