He was drinking an a drink that was illegal in the U.S.A for over 100 years and now is legal again. Look up the drink on youtube it will tell you about it it is called absinthe alcohol . . . Look it up it contains a product called wormwood which makes you see things that you really dont see . . . Or do you? Anyways the answer is he was drunk.
