What freedoms should be given, what freedoms should be taken away, how should the government function.... What would be your idea of a perfect society?

Utopian Society is an ideal society. The word Utopia is from Greek language which means "not place." Thus it refers to an imaginary world.
I think a Utopian society would have the most perfect social and political structure. People would love each other and would care for each other's rights. No one would break the law. The political leaders will be exemplary. The legal system would be out of this world. The laws would protect the interest of the right people. There would be complete harmony between the people and the state.

Ya.. Know I think the only way to have a Utopian society.. Would be a society based on perfect love and perfect trust. It wouldn't be about what freedoms to give or to take away it would be about all doing what is best what is right for each other and the world itself. And as history shows.. Theres always going to be that one JERK that ruins it.

Essentially what AnonyMouse is saying is that it's impossible for humans to have a Utopian society because humans are incapable of that. Lions are Utopian, cheetahs, elephants, baboons...you know why? Not because their life is 'perfect' but because it's 'the way it is"..that is Utopian...accepting your place and living within it's bounds without trying to change it. That is trully Utopian..living for the moment.
