Ladies, If You Had A Mastectomy, Would You Have Reconstructive Surgery?

I am only 40. I had a bilateral mastectomy last year. I chose not to have reconstruction. Now, I am wondering if I made the right decision. The forms are natural looking, but my scars are horrible. What would you have done?

I thought it was a huge improvement for women when they began offering reconstruction immediately after the mastectomy. If it happened to me, I would. I'm vain.

Bottom line, in this case, do what makes you comfortable, confident, and happy. This is certainly not an indulgence.

If it was me I don't think that I would mainly do to the fact that it was a struggle that I would of live through...Also as long as I would of live through somthing like that I wouldn't really care what I looked like.Who knows if you would have even further probs. Later on for a reconstruction job. Then it would be another prob. That I wouldn't want to deal w/later on.

I definately would. At only a 34B cup, I don't think I could take anything smaller.
