Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Light is a type of waves. Light waves are categorized as electromagnetic waves. They transfer energy when they propagate. Light waves consist of two types of fields including magnetic field and electric field. Magnetic fields and electric fields of a light wave are perpendicular to each other. These fields are also perpendicular to the propagation of wave. So, light waves are transverse waves. The speed of light wave is 3 x 108 meter per second. The three main properties of light are intensity, wavelength or frequency and polarization.
