How Do You Find The Mean In A Problem?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

The mean is simply the average.  You take all the numbers involved, add them all together, and divide by the number of numbers.  For instance:

1,3,13,17,20,25 is a series of six numbers which add up to 79  To find the mean - or the average - you divide 79 by 6 and you get 13.1666666 (repeating decimal).

I hope this answers your question.
