The Canterbury police station is situated at Old Dover road, Canterbury. Canterbury basically is a cathedral city situated in east Kent in South East England.

There have been traces of settlements in Canterbury since ancient times. Canterbury later on went on to become a managerial centre of the Roman Empire. It was located at the intersection of three roads. The name Canterbury gets its name from the Old English word of Cantwarebyrig, which means "Fortress of the men of Kent".

A Motte and Bailey fortress was built in Canterbury by the Normans immediately after the Norman Conquest. This fortress was shortly substituted by the stone keep of Canterbury Castle which is till date present. This city was later converted to county corporate in the year 1461. The city was severely damaged during World War II.
