    What Are Landlord Tenant Laws In New Hampshire?

    I paid a security deposit of $400 for an apartment , turns out I am unable to live at the residence and the landlord agreed to break the lease without any extra payment. I never moved into the apartment, never recieved keys or a proper reciept for my deposit adn the landlord is refusing to give it back.

    I would guess that if you have any kind of receipt, your landlord is liable, but that things could be tricky otherwise. If you go to the new hampshire department of housing, they can probably help.
