Unless he's been bitten by a rabid animal, I think you're safe.  Rabies is the only you'd have to be worried about.  However, if the bite is bad, keep an eye on it, because it could become infected.  Look for redness, pain and warmth, not to mention, pus, coming from the wound.  Kitten and puppy bites can be pretty bad, when they break the skin.  Those sweet looking little things have very sharp teeth!!

I agree with MyMollie on the infection part to an extent. I'm a medical professional for 25 years now and with having the first of the series you should be covered, but is you puppy hasn't been exposed to or showin sx of rabbies then you'll be fine. Just keep that wound clean and dry, use an ointment like neosporin on it but leave it open to air as much as possible. Cover it if you are working or getting dirty, but then take the bandaid off and clean it again. The neosporin will also keep any scaring to a minimal. Hope this helps.

I wouldn't rely on the Internet to make your final decision.  I would consult a medical expert off line, or at least, get some second opinions from sites that specialize in dogs. Either way, take good care of your health.

My grandson got bit one time by my daughters chihuahua and it had all its shots the next day it was so infected he had a red spot running up his arm he then had to go to the hospital and he also could not move his hand so they suggested he go to a hand specialist on Monday since this happened on a Friday thank goodness after opening his infected sore  three times a day and squeezing it out he gained use of his hand and never had to go to the hand specialist, the little burgers are sweet but can be dangerous at times, grandchildren included lol !

Yes but you can still get infections from them. use hydrcortizone and peroxide to clean out the bite so that this don't happen. Good luck.
