Poor health, medical emergencies, severe or sick weather, delayed flights, lost documents or luggage-these are some of the troubles one can face during a holiday break. A planned trip brings more charm in tourism. Here are some travelling tips for a better journey.

• Always start your trip planning with “Things to Do” list. And encircle one by one which is done.
• In order to better plan your journey, buy a map of Ireland in advance and consult travelling guides and web portals. Plan a rough route of where you would like to go.
• Do not overload yourself by carrying heavy luggage. Don't buy loads of new clothes or shoes. Ireland is an informal place and tourists can go anywhere in jeans, sneakers and a sweater. Carry only what is really required. For Dublin a rain coat is essential.
• Book your accommodation and transport in advance, it helps a lot.
• Take a tiny flash light with you, Ireland’s countryside become very dark at nights.
• Keep your passport in your hand luggage with your tickets. And memorize your passport number in case you lose it!
• Take a cell phone with you and stay in touch with your family and friends
• Try to be as alert as you can. Walk with confidence. Never let a stranger look after your bag - they may steal or put something in there. Make new friends but never trust them.
