There Is A Correctional Facility In Somerset, PA. That Has Mandated Some Of The Prisoners To Remove Asbestos Without Any Protective Gear. I've Lost My Father To This As He Served In The Navy Working In The Boiler Room On The Ships. Would Like To Keep A Dear Friends' Mind Clear As He Is Very Concerned That He May Hve Gotten Life-threatening Exposure. I Spoke To My Fathers' Lawyer On This Matter And She Said Without A Diagnos, There Eas Nothing She Could Do And To Contact You. I Don't Know How Many Were Forced To Remove The Asbestos But, I Know It Was At Least More Than 5 People. Your Response On This Matter Would Be Greatly Appreciated.

The EPA of our United States Government is still around.  Whether they will do anything is the question???  I lost my mom for the same reason, but it is hard to prove anything in a prison.  In the private sector, there are remediators who actually have scientific instruments to measure the toxins in the air and on the surfaces of anything.  So, I would think that the prison and the state is fully aware of the potential risk.  Prisoners have fought for their rights for years, but a victory is always hard-won.  The EPA would be the only place I could think of that is over the state and might have some impact, but you are asking about something that our own government is already involved in and we all know how that goes.
