Why Does The Price Of Gas Vary From Town To Town And City?

I recently had a debate with a relative of mine about the difference in the price of gas where she lives as opposed to the price of gas in Toronto, a large city.

The price of gas is regulated by the Government. Depending on taxes you can get a variation in town and country prices that is not reflective of the cost to get the gas to the outlying towns. As pollution laws increase the gap may even widen in price variance. Additionally the rental for gas station outlets in country areas is often less than their inner city counterparts. You can vote to get more fair gas pricing across the nation, most increases in gas prices recently have been to do with US speculators in Texas running up the prices artificially the fastest way to change the prices is to change the administration: my.barackobama.com
