What Can Cause A Truck To Not Turn On?

I have a 2004 GMC Sierra C1500-Ext. Cab, which was running great until one day I came back from work and parked it for about 2 hours. When I came back out, I turn the ignition to the start engine and nothing happened. It didn't even try to start. The display lights are all on but the engine won't turn.

It doesn't take much voltage to turn on your display lights, but it takes about 4 or 5 hundred amps to turn your starter over.
If your truck has lived in a state where the temperature average is over 80 degrees, for 4 or 5 years, your battery is probably Done.

Could be a bad starter, solenoid. Check the ground and positive wires

Well it could be a loose battery cable or maybe your alternator?
Maybe you need a new battery .You should clean your battery cables with coke cola i know it sounds funny but, it does work!!

It may be your starter, or alternator they have been known to die with no warning at all. If you have have a battery charger charge the battery and try to start the truck with it charging
