I have a 4 year old Mini Pin (rescue), not too much history, not spayed, now it seems her vagina has enlarged and coming out ( prolapsed??), doesn't appear in any pain, acting normal, made vet appointment for next week, earliest time

Your dog could very well be in what is called estrus or "heat" or in "season" meaning she is preparing herself for breeding. you did not specify the age of the dog. if you are not going to breed this animal i would recommend spaying her as soon as possible. most vets will require her to be out of heat. some will do the procedure but will charge you more $$$ to do as her organs are swollen and prone to bleeding. the most important thing to remember is to keep her away from "all" and i mean "all" male dogs as they can breed her and it only takes a minute for them to tie up and then you will have puppies to worry about! the world does not need anymore puppies so do the responsible thing and get her spayed!

dog is 5 I think, rescue dog, made appointment for Tuesday Vet, spayed is next after appointment just want to make sure dog is not in danger until Tuesday appointment
