How Do We Set Up Our Laptop For Wireless Communications?

The wireless communication can be done by using Infrared, Bluetooth, Wireless Modem, GPRS Modem, Wireless LAN Card and etc.

Infrared:
We can use the infrared device to communicate with mobiles. We can send and receive images, sounds, videos and phonebook contacts. The infrared communication is difficult to work. For successful communication the both entities must have the infrared devices and must be located in front of each other

Bluetooth:
Bluetooth is easier to use as compared with infrared devices. But the distance covered in Bluetooth technology is not too much. The Bluetooth signals looses after some distance. This communication is better if the entities are located nearby.

Wireless LAN Card:
We can communicate by using the wireless LAN cards. When we want to share with a network then this option is best. The Wireless LAN card are not very expensive way of communication.

Wireless Modem:
The wireless modes can also be used to browse internet on the laptop. These modems provide internet and other services.

GPRS Modem:
If we have access to any GPRS network then these modem can be used for communication. A GPRS service is provided by the cellular network operators. The Edge technology provides faster internet services using the GPRS network.
